13th - 20th November

Science Week is a week of activities all around Ireland promoting the importance of science and runs from Sunday 13th - Sunday 20th November. This year's theme is ‘The Chemistry of Life’, demonstrating the importance of chemistry to our everyday lives—from the atoms that are the building blocks of nature to the chemistry that creates lasting bonds between people.

This video games design and development exploration workshop will give students the opportunity to consider computer science as a possible career choice

Experience Science First-Hand!

Try out simple hands-on experiments, watch demonstrations including fireworks, and participate in competitions, in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology.

Guitar versus Laptop: how to fit Musical Instruments into your Computer

2011 Galway Science & Technology Festival Exhibition

This Final Day Exhibition brings together local companies, education and government agencies in a wonderful display of what is happening in Galway. There will be many shows & events to entertain including Bubble Magic, Mr Bug & Blackrock Observatory StarDome all free to the public. A Lego competition & tours of the Zoology Museum & Geology Museum.
