Tell The Future Competition

An exciting new story-writing competition for all secondary school students in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. This competition allows the next generation to share their practical ideas on how to power their country into the future in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way.

'Why learn more languages'

PPLI are currently running a competition for secondary school students - the winner will be the student who answers the competition question 'Why learn more languages?' in the most original and convincing way. This involves creating a blog post on www.thelanguagevillage.com that not only addresses the question but is also dynamic, interesting and enjoyable, using any media of the students' choice.

Doodle 4 Google 2012 Competiton

Google use their homepage logo designs, or doodles, to celebrate different people, events or special dates. These doodles are usually created by their Google web designers. However, for the fourth year running they're inviting Irish students to create their own doodle by taking part in the Doodle 4 Google competition, where they can design a Google logo based on the theme of “I wish”.

LASCO Maths Challenge 2012

Annual Inter-schools charity maths competition with a prize fund of £4000, open to all Primary and Secondary Schools in Ireland. Science Week 2011 Competitions

Science Week runs from Sunday 13th - Sunday 20th November. The theme is ‘The Chemistry of Life’, demonstrating the importance of chemistry to our everyday lives—from the atoms that are the building blocks of nature to the chemistry that creates lasting bonds between people.  There are a number of competitions aimed at both primary and post primary students.

The Future Creators

The Digital Hub in association with NCAD brings you the Future Creators where you can learn to develop 21st century digital skills in a fun & creative environment. You’ll learn how to create Apps for mobile phones, how to develop your own games & to engage with social networking sites – Facebook, My Space, Bebo, Second Life, Twitter. Becoming a part of the Future Creators will not only develop options for future study & career paths, it will give you an opportunity to take part in collaborative, hands-on activities and it will be a lot of fun!

F1 in Schools

Dundalk Grammar School scooped two international trophies at this year's F1 in Schools World Championships held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. And registration for the 2011-12 season is now open.
