All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad 2012
The All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad (AILO) is a contest in which secondary school students develop their own strategies for solving problems in fascinating real languages from around the globe.
U4Energy
Primary and secondary schools across Europe are invited to participate in this exciting competition. Schools can win prizes for their achievements in saving energy. The first round of the U4energy competition was officially launched in September 2010. The second round is now open - you can submit your entries until May 2012.
What's Next for Nano?
In conjunction with the Nano in my Life TY Modules CRANN have launched a new poster competition - What's next for nano? Entrants are asked to design a poster outlining future ideas or innovations for nanotechnology, based on what they have learnt during the modules.
Euroscola Competition
The 18th Edition of Euroscola Competition will be run by the European Parliament's Information Office in Spain. Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the Erasmus grants programme and the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations, the theme of this edition is presenting the European programmes that encourage exchange, cooperation and mobility in education and training.
John Hooper Medal for Statistics 2012 Competition
The goal is to improve students' abilities to describe their environment (not limited to environmental issues) with the help of statistics and to use statistics as a tool for making sense of daily life.
LWF12: Awards (Learning Without Frontiers)
The Awards celebrate international practitioners, learners and participants who have excelled in the use of mobile, video games, social media, open source or other disruptive platforms for radically improving learning and teaching by demonstrating genuine innovation and best practice that can be shared amongst colleagues.
LASCO Maths Challenge 2012
Annual Inter-schools charity maths competition with a prize fund of £4000, open to all Primary and Secondary Schools in Ireland.
