Developing e-Learning in your School (Primary)
Overview
This highly interactive online course contains videos, practical examples, templates and resources to assist in the development of a school’s e-Learning Plan, with a particular focus on literacy. Participants are supported by NCTE e-tutors, all primary teachers with excellent ICT skills and experience of ICT integration in their own schools.

The online course will be accessible from 9am on Monday, 7th November, 2011 to 5pm on Friday 9th December, 2011. e-Tutor support will be available to you between these dates. You are advised to complete the course during this period.

Course Objectives
This course should enable participants to:
- Understand the concept of e-Learning in schools
- Understand the e-Learning planning process
- Learn how to identify their school’s current e-Learning status
- Learn how to identify priorities for e-Learning in their school
- Understand the key roles played by all members of staff in the development of e-Learning in a school
- Identify ways to encourage and continue the development of e-Learning in their school
- Address all of the above with a particular focus on literacy development in the primary school.
Course Content
The course consists of a course introduction which introduces participants to the course itself, the e-Learning environment and the other e-Learners. It is then followed by 5 modules:

- Module 2: Reviewing e-Learning in your school
- Module 3: Developing an e-Learning Plan
- Module 4: Applying a whole school approach to e-Learning
- Module 5: e-Learning in action in your school
