NCTE Online Courses
NCTE Learning Online is the central area for NCTE's online continuing professional development acivities for teachers. It also includes e-Links, the online community of practice for ICT Coordinating teachers in post primary schools.
Information about and links to enrolment for NCTE online courses are available below as well as a handy guide to help you through the enrolment procedure.
Summer online courses:
You can access the course descriptor pages from the links below. Each course descriptor page contains information on the course content, availability (start and finish dates) and enrolment information. You will need a Scoilnet account to enrol. Unfortunately, the two online courses for Primary teachers listed below, are full and enrolment has already closed. We have already increased places to cater for this high demand but no additional places are available and there is no waiting list.

Enrolment opens April 30th for the following short online courses from NCTE (2 hours each).
- Wikis and more for Learning (Enrolment has closed for this online course. The course starts May 14th for up to two weeks)
- Blogging for Learning (Enrolment has closed for this online course. The course starts May 21st for up to two weeks)
- Podcasting for Learning (Course starts May 28th for up to two weeks)

Internet Safety in School & Classroom:
This short online course (duration=40 mins) is currently available without having to enrol. It aims to assist you in using the Internet safely and effectively as a teaching and learning resource. It will give you a flavour of NCTE’s online courses, after which you might like to enrol in a longer course. Access this short course directly by clicking here.
