My name is Ilana Ben Sasson. Our school is located in Jerusalem, the capital city of Israel . We live in a very beautiful city and in our school we have opened a " VISITORS CENTER ". We invite you to come and visit us . You will have the opportunity to personally meet the wonderful Israeli children , who will be extremely glad to host you in our unique center. We all hope for true peace in our region and all over the world very soon.

When you got up, was the weather: sunny, windy, rainy, cloudy, misty, snowy?

When we got up , the weather in Jerusalem was sunny and very pleasant.

What did you eat for breakfast?

Our pupils usually drink tea before coming to school . Most of them eat their breakfast at school . That includes a sandwich and some fruit .

Did you watch TV or listen to the radio or a CD this morning?

Our pupils don't watch T.V. before they come to school , but they all listen to the radio , mainly to the news .

If you heard the news, can you remember any local or national news, any international news?

Listening to the news is part of our daily life. We follow the news , both national as well as international news . As long as the weather is concerned , we have had some good news. After a long time of drought , we are going to endly have rain. The international news dealt with the American troops fighting the Talibans in Afganistan. The local news still deal with terror attacks :This morning a bomb has exploded at a railway station killing three Israelis and another two Israelis have been killed in a West Bank drive-by shooting .

What time did you leave for school?

This morning we left for school at 07:45

How did you get to school and how long did it take to get there?

We all live within walking distance from school. It takes us between 5 to 15 minutes to get there . Therefore we usually walk to school . Besides the weather is nice , so it's really cool !

Describe what you wore to school.

Today we had gymnastics , so all the pupils wore training suits to school .

If you have windows in the classroom what can you see from them?

Yes, we have windows in the classroom , from which we can see our beautiful school yard, and our basketball court .

What time did school start?

School starts at 08:05

What lessons have you learned at school so far today?

Our first lesson today was English .
