Viking Network Ireland invites Irish schools, primary and secondary to submit work which they had done on the theme of Vikings. Children can write on Viking history in their own locality or in the country in general. These accounts may be factual or imaginative. Poems and stories are quite acceptable. You may also submit art work based on the theme of Vikings. Material may be submitted in any form, text files on disc, handwritten, computer printouts, pictures on paper, scanned images, html files etc. We can also link to project material already on your website.
Look at the material already submitted and be inspired to submit your own work!

Children Build a Web about the Vikings 2000
Study the Vikings. Work with classes across borders to create webpages about the Vikings. Why not write a short account of Vikings in your locality or a story or poem on the theme of vikings. The Viking attack on Wexford project (see below) is part of this major project. Museums will help you to find answers to the tricky questions.
THE VIKING RAID ON WEXFORD
This is a collaborative story writing project involving schools from Co. Wexford, Ireland and schools from elsewhere in the world. The stories were exhibited at the Wexford Viking Festival at the beginning of May 2000.
