Animation on your web page can serve:

• to draw attention to a feature of your site, (for example, the mailing list animation at http://www.into.ie/online/mail.htm)
• simply to amuse (for example, http://www.hampsterdance.com/)

Choosing an effect

It is best to have an overall plan of the effect you wish to achieve. For example, some of the effects you may wish to create are:
