It would be unfortunate if schools were frightened away from the idea of publishing an Internet site after reading certain press reports about potential dangers to children from the Internet. However, it is our responsibilities as teachers to arm ourselves with the knowledge of these dangers, so that we can guard against and prevent them before they occur.
