Using Microsoft Word 97
Using Microsoft Word 97 - Working with Graphics
Inserting an image
Note: It is a good idea, where possible, to have your images saved in
the Web Site folder before inserting them into your document.
Place the cursor where you want the image to appear in your document. Click
the
button on the Standard Toolbar. The Insert
Picture box opens.
Ensure Float over Text is left unchecked. Locate and then select the
image file and click Insert.

File Conversion
If you use an image format other than GIF or JPEG, Microsoft Word 97 will
convert the image file to a GIF and rename it.
Aligning Images
Select the image by clicking on it. Choose to left, centre or right align
the image by clicking on the Alignment button on the Formatting Toolbar.

Resizing the image
Once inserted, the image can be resized it by selecting it and then dragging
the handles that appear at each corner until the image is at the desired size.
Note: In general, resizing in an Image Editor before you import it
gives better results.
Alternative Text
From the File menu, select Format then Picture.

In the Text: field enter the alternative text for the image.

Click OK to finish.
